If not yet done, head over to the Prerequisits first!

If you are putting MicroPython on your board for the first time then you should first erase the entire flash using:

esptool.py --port /dev/ttyUSB0 erase_flash

From then on program the firmware starting at address 0x1000:

esptool.py --port /dev/ttyUSB0 --baud 460800 write_flash --flash_size=detect 0 esp8266-20xxxxxx-vx.x.x.bin
